If I have to say anything about this receipe, I would say this dish is one of the healthiest dish. It has lot of fibers because cracked wheat is whole wheat; its vegetables provide all the vitamins; and the mung beans (moong daal) covers the protein part. Its very relaxing and light dish.There is no specific list of vegetables to be used for this recipe. You can use a variety of vegetables or whatever is available in your kichen. My kids love this dish and on top of that it is very quick to prepare. I hope you are going to love this recipe.

Ingredients:
2 cups Cracked wheat (Daliya)
1/2 cup rice
1 1/2 moong daal
3 medium size tomatoes
2 cups finely chopped mix vegetables (like peas, spinach, corn, beans, carrots etc.)
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
2 tablespoon oil (canola, olive or vegetable oil)
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder ( you can reduce or increase the amount according to your taste)
Salt to taste
Preparation:
1. Heat the pan and add cracked wheat and stir it till it turns little brown or looks crispy.
2. Keep aside this cracked wheat. Mix rice and moong daal together and wash.
3. In hot oil, add cumin seeds. Heat till they turn brown.
4. Add fine chopped tomatoes and saute till they are soft and cooked.
4. Now, add turmeric powder and red chilli powder to the sauted tomatoes.
5. Add cracked wheat, rice and moong daal mix, vegetables.
6. Stir it for two minutes and add 8 cups of water.
7. Cook on medium flame and switch to low heat when water has reduced by half. Check if all vegetables are soft and rice and cracked wheat are cooked.
8. Do not dry all the water.
